5 miles out and I get a flat! Lucky for me Sarge and Nick and don't let me forget James, that came over with a real pump, were willing to help. Ok, they did it for me! The weather held in there too.

I road alone for awhile today. Thought about Mr. Coe and his trip some 30 years ago. Wonder if he knew how inspiring he was to me that day. That I'd be thinking of him today. I hope he had a marvelous adventure. I wonder if I'll travel any of the same roads. As I think back, teachers have always been the ones to inspire me. Offer great lessons and wisdom.

Said good-bye to Scott. We finally parted ways. Til August. I know I didn't need his permission to come on this trip, but I did need his support. Without it, none of this would have been possible.
